These shoes, designed by Margot Silk Forrest, appeared recently in Altered Couture magazine. They feature antiqued brass bracelet links that resemble vintage typewriter keys with French and English words. Links are accented with fetching little red bows. Sponge painting highlights the insole.
The "Letter from Home" kit includes:
- Detailed, step-by step instructions with photos
- 1 bottle of Lumiere's Metallic Rust leather & fabric paint
- 1 bottle of Neopaque Black leather & fabric paint
- A sea wool sponge
- 2 oz. Future floor finish as paint sealant
- 24 antique brass bracelet links by 7 Gypsies
- 3 yards of scarlet rayon chainette yarn for bows
- 6 yards of Fireline beading thread
- 1 leather needle (size 3)
